Brenda and David (Michelangelo's)
We arrived in Florence by fast train from Venice.
Florence was our favourite. We stayed at the Hotel Lungarno - on the Arno River with a view of the Ponte Vecchio Bridge.
The food was amazing and the people were friendly.Â
We took a half day trip to Pisa (it was so great it has a separate post) and on the second day we did a guided tour called Locations and Legends with ArtViva Tours (booked through Viator).
Our tour guide was Brenda - she was born and raised in Florence and is half American (her mum was from Colorado). Brenda loved Florence and it rubbed off. The tour was new so there was only 4 of us which was perfect. Brenda took us through the history of Florence as we walked through the streets and visited monuments including Basilica of Saint Mary of the Flower and Michelangelo’s David.
The reason Brenda is here today is because of David - her parents met there :)
