are we there yet...?
It was over 13 hours to get from Sydney to UAE. We stopped in Abu Dhabi airport for a couple of hours to board another flight to Venice. The first flight wasn’t too bad. The term ‘cattle class’ was appropriate - business class looked much better (we took a pic on the way past). We need to upgrade on the way home...
I watched a couple of movies and tried to sleep a few hours and the time went pretty quickly. They give you a toothbrush, toothpaste, eye mask, ear plugs, and some socks which is nice - although I’m not sure how you’re supposed to put the socks on in your seat… Like this maybe?
We didn’t realise you got the eye mask on the plane so we got them at Sydney airport before we left. I’m glad we did. I tried to sleep for most of the second flight from UAE to Venice - the eye masks they give you on the plane aren’t great. The ones we bought didn’t let any light in… It made sleeping in a chair a little easier.
